Open YPK branch in Klungkung and provide mobile therapy

In order for YPK’s services to reach a much larger number of physically disabled people, by 2012, YPK hope to open a branch rehabilitation centre and mobile clinic. The regions of Klungkung, Gianyar and Bangli are all reported to be home to a high population of physically disabled people who are receiving no treatment whatsoever. Therefore in order to allow close access to all three regencies, the branch will be in Klungkung which is positioned strategically in between Gianyar and Bangli.

The mobile clinic will operate in 6 different villages, 6 days per week, and will rotate to a different 6 villages every 6 months. It is estimated that YPK will treat an additional 300 people per year via both the Klungkung branch and mobile therapy unit.
