YPK’s children’s education program started in 2009 and
provides informal education for 24 children with disabilities. Following their
regular therapy session, children who have not been accepted in to the public
school system participate in educational classes which focus on reading,
writing, mathematics, English and art. Improving fine motor skills and social
interaction are key outcomes of our program. We hope to expand the Children’s
Education Program to serve 50 students in 2011.
YPK is grateful for the support of ALF and YKIP who
fund the Children’s Education Program and provide additional transportation to
ensure that the children can come regularly to the Center.
